About Kenix

Built to Make Auto Repair Performance Measurable

Kenix was created after identifying a fundamental problem in the auto repair industry:
most shop owners don’t actually know what drives their sales.

Weeks fluctuate. Some are strong, some are weak. Car count may be high, yet revenue remains low. Marketing spend increases, call volume goes up — but results don’t follow consistently. The data exists, but it’s fragmented, delayed, or misleading. As a result, owners are forced to manage their business without clarity.

Kenix exists to solve that problem.

Our Origin

Kenix was founded by two brothers with complementary expertise and a shared frustration.

Sergio Carrillo, owner of three AAMCO transmission repair shops in Phoenix, Arizona, experienced firsthand how difficult it is to understand why sales performance changes week to week. Despite investing heavily in Google Ads and tracking call volume through VoIP and franchise tools, revenue did not scale predictably. Increasing traffic helped — but not intentionally or reliably.

What Sergio discovered was critical:
sales performance was not driven by call volume alone, but by how the team handled those calls and converted opportunities into real shop visits and authorized repairs.

Franchise guidance suggested listening to a small sample of calls each week and coaching managers accordingly. In practice, this approach was time-consuming, subjective, and easily dismissed. It didn’t scale, and it didn’t create accountability.

Looking for a better solution, Sergio explored AI-based call analysis tools. While promising, most options were either too expensive, too generic, or not built specifically for auto repair operations.

That’s when he partnered with his brother, Juan Carrillo, an experienced software engineer with a background in building and managing custom software teams. Together, they began developing AI-driven call analysis tools tailored to auto repair shops. Early success proved the concept — but it also revealed a deeper truth.

Call analysis alone was not enough.

Without a CRM tightly integrated with VoIP, scheduling, customer history, and automation, insights remained disconnected from action. Coaching without execution didn’t move the needle.

After stepping away from their initial venture, the Carrillo brothers started over — this time with full control and a clear focus on fundamentals.

Rebuilding from the Ground Up

Kenix was rebuilt to answer one question:

What are the real, measurable factors that drive revenue in an auto repair shop — and how do we improve them automatically?

The first bottleneck was obvious: missed calls.
If calls aren’t answered, nothing else matters.

Kenix began by solving missed calls through ring groups, call-back automations, and immediate follow-ups via call and text. Once this foundation was in place, the system expanded to track the entire customer journey — not just calls, but interactions.

By integrating CRM and VoIP at the core, Kenix analyzes:

This shift from call-based analysis to customer-centric performance tracking unlocked true visibility for the first time.

From there, Kenix identified and operationalized the key KPIs that actually matter:

  • Opportunity Rate

  • Schedule Rate

  • Show-Up Rate

  • Service Authorization Rate

More importantly, Kenix doesn’t just measure these metrics — it acts on them automatically through intelligent workflows, follow-ups, confirmations, recovery campaigns, and real-time alerts.

Our Philosophy

Most software companies sell features.
Kenix sells performance outcomes.

Shop owners don’t need more dashboards, more manual data entry, or more tools that depend on perfect employee execution. They need:

  • Clarity over what’s really happening
  • Accountability without micromanagement
  • Systems that work even when people don’t

That’s why Kenix is built on three principles:

  1. Visibility comes first
  2. Automation replaces inconsistency
  3. Data must lead to action
